Organ Summer Festival

The 2nd Organ Summer Festival of American Church in Berlin takes place at the historic Luther Church at Dennewitzplatz in Berlin-Schöneberg. This summer concert series features several evening performances dedicated to showcasing the rich and versatile sound of the pipe organ. Concerts begin at 7:00 PM, admission is free, and donations are welcome. Building on the success of its first edition, the festival presents a diverse program including classical organ works and improvisations.

Alongside Vincent Kiefer, Minister of Music at the American Church in Berlin, the festival features both regional and international organists, highlighting a wide range of artistic perspectives and styles.

The church’s organ is an impressive instrument built in 1964 by the German organ company Kleuker. It has three manuals and around 39 stops, offering a broad palette of tonal colors. With its mechanical action and expressive capabilities, it is well suited for both liturgical use and concert performances. A major restoration between 2015 and 2018 ensured its excellent condition and sound quality today.
